The case of Damoh district in the state of Madhya Pradesh(Central India), has taken an astonishing turn. On April 21,2024,During a wedding ceremony in Ranjara village, a hawk was present at every ritual. After the wedding ceremony, the bird landed on the bride’s head, as if blessing her. The bride’s side also treated the hawk with utmost respect and even fed it. Once the wedding was over, the hawk flew away. But there’s more to the story. During the wedding festivities, the rural folk considered the hawk to be the bride’s father, who had passed away in an accident just two days before the wedding.
The incident took place in Ranjara village of Damoh district, Madhya Pradesh. According to information received, the father of the bride, Jalm Singh Lodhi, died in an accident near Talaiya on April 18. Since the wedding of his daughter, Imrati, was already scheduled for April 21, both sides decided to conduct a simple wedding ceremony at the temple. The wedding was solemnized at the Chandi Mata temple in the village. The bride’s relative, Ganesh Lodhi, mentioned that Nonibai, the mother of the bride, returned home after performing the last rites of her husband on the wedding day morning. Shortly after, a hawk suddenly landed on the roof of the house. Then it approached Nonibai and settled in her lap. She interpreted the hawk as hungry and offered it food, including milk and water. During this time, neither the hawk nor the people present showed any fear.
He further stated that when the relatives left for the temple for the wedding, they also informed the hawk about it. After that, the bird perched on the shoulder of a young man and reached the wedding venue. During the exchange of garlands, the hawk sat quietly on a chair near the stage. After the exchange of garlands, it flew and perched on the bride’s head, spreading its wings. It seemed as if it was blessing the bride. Ganesh Lodhi mentioned that after all the wedding rituals were completed, the hawk flew away and disappeared suddenly. The villagers believe that the bride’s father, Jalm Singh, had come in the form of a bird to bless his daughter. This incident has become the talk of the entire region.
